I’m sitting in one of my favorite coffee shops in Newark, DE, the town where Tyler and I went to college. It’s a cute little shop with lots of natural light, local art, and of course good coffee. The students are all here, and it’s strange to think that I’m not one of them. I blend in so well.
We’ve played a couple of shows here in Delaware and it’s been really fun so far. On Wednesday night we played an alumni show here at UD with our friends Amanda Kaletsky and Derek Fuhrmann. We debuted a few new songs and I have to say–I was nervous! I can’t remember the last time I was nervous like that. The songs went well though and the energy in the room was really positive. I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
Yesterday we played at the Wilmington Flower Market. It’s an outdoor event that benefits local charities in Delaware. The weather was beautiful and some friends got me some really yummy french fries after out set! Seriously. French fries are my weakness. We stuck around and watched Diego Paulo’s set (they are fantastic by the way) and then went home for a photo shoot with our friend Joey Cardella. (check him out: www.joeysee.com).
I am SO EXCITED for you guys to see these photos! So so so so so good! Words cannot describe them. I guess that’s why they’re photos right?
So tomorrow night we’re in Alexandria, VA playing a house show. It should be loads of fun. If you’re in the area and would like the address, shoot us an email (jennyandtyler@gmail.com) and we’ll make sure you have the details in time. For now I’ll wander around Newark enjoying the sun and trying hard not to stop at every single coffee shop!
