beef jerky or cupcakes?

So it’s been more than two weeks since the last blog post…I know you’re all hanging on the edge of your seats, staring anxiously at your computer screen, anticipating a profound message…..

okay, probably not.

I can’t explain the blog hiatus…I think I’ve been waiting for something incredibly exciting to post…and that hasn’t come along.

We’ve played some great gigs the past few weeks. Saturday night we were in Elkton, MD playing a coffee house type/service thingy called Late Nite.  The crowd was sparse, but we had a good time jamming.  I even busted out the mandolin for a lively rendition of “Dark Hollow.”  Oh how I love that song.

Tyler and I celebrated our birthdays this weekend with our families.  We went to Bowie on Friday and ate dinner with my family and then we had brunch with Ty’s family on Sunday morning.  After brunch we went to this place on Main Street here in Newark called Sweet & Sassy Cupcakes and I had the best cupcake of my life.  Seriously.  It was Irish Creme flavored frosting atop a chocolate cupcake.  So good.  I want to go back and get another one.   Tyler and Brian Mitchell are here eating breakfast and have formulated a business plan for the male version of Sweet & Sassy.  They’ll name their store Rough & Hairy and will specialize in selling different types of beef jerky.  I have to admit, it some strange way, the idea really makes sense.

We’re playing at a venue called the Underground down in Frankford, DE this Saturday.  If you’re in the area, come check it out.  Directions can be found on our tour page.

See ya,

-jenny
