This past weekend after our radio interview with WSTW (which went really well) Tyler and I drove to Avalon, NJ for a little getaway. We spent Monday exploring Avalon and Cape May, eating chocolate, and to Tyler’s delight learning (that would be me who was learning) to drive stick. It all began quite well. I was actually good at driving and Tyler was pleased. Before I knew it he had me crossing some bridge and driving into the heart of Cape May. I guess that’s what happens when I don’t know the area and he does. I did have one emotional meltdown. Tyler caught it on video. I’ve posted it below:
All in all, we had a great time. Tyler bought me earrings and we split a big plate of nachos at an awesome restaurant. A lovely little mini-vacation!
Tomorrow night we’re playing at Homegrown Cafe here in Newark from 10p-1a, and on Saturday we play at Deep Blue from 9p-12a. I hope to see some of you there!
